Hi Les -
Fantastic site and found my little steam engine (Fleischmann 125-4). I was wondering how I would go about cleaning it up as it has not been used for about 41 years. My Mother only just found it recently and sent it down to me, so I would like to restore her to her former glory. Only the fire box area is a bit rough, though not rusted through, and the boiler needs a good clean. I don't want to start it up necessarily just spruce it up. Also, is there anywhere you can suggest I can get some things I know are missing from it - ie the weight that sits on the lever and the little shovel for the firebox? Had a look at the German site but I couldn't see any accessories section. Thanks Karen

Hello,
I have an old upright static engine from when I was a young lad (45 years ago). The only identification that I can find on it is a small oval plate saying E P on the back of it. There is a small 4 spoked wheel surrounded by two figures I believe above the EP.

Any ideas what it is. It no longer works - over the years the flywheel broke and I think my dad got someone to put a brass wheel on instead. The engine just does not turn this round. Also the safety valve leaks, but I suspect that could be fixed by fitting another washer on it.

I too found your site very interesting.

All the best

Clive

Enjoyed your website. Hoping you could help with a Fleischmann model number. I have what appears to be a 130/2 steam engine, except that it is electric fired. I have some Fleischmann catalogs, but nowhere is mentioned an electric. Was this from the factory? Thanks, Chuck

Hello Chuck, thank you for your comment on my website.
As far as I know there are no electric Fleischmanns that have been factory made, you may have either a 'one off' or one someone else has converted to electric.
Is it possible to get either a copy of your catalogues or let me know where I can purchase them from?
Regards,
Les.

What a great site and collection you have Les, I found my man with cross cut saw, thought his left hand may have been hooked to the top hole on the drive end, as normal, I was wrong.
